Overall, we can't help but like the Fujifilm X20, despite a few quirks. It's a capable enthusiast compact that offers just about everything that an advanced user would want, but Fujifilm has left enough automatic features to please the point-and-shoot crowd, as well.

Fuji's X20 is a slightly updated version of their X10 camera, featuring a new sensor and an updated optical viewfinder intended to give you more information -- like exposure data -- when framing your shots. Aside from these tweaks, the X20 retains the same retro styling and lens as the X10. Pocket-Lint says that "Fujifilm's got the X20's style down to a tee" calling it a "subtle yet eye-catching design." The all-metal body ensures you get an "amazingly well-built camera," according to Photography Blog. The new sensor offers noticeable improvements over the X10, with Digital Photography Review saying the "photos are quite a bit sharper than those that the X10 produced," and Steve's Digicams says that "Fuji has made some outstanding improvements to the X20 that have greatly improved the overall image quality of the camera." … show more

The Fujifiilm X20 is a great choice for people looking for a well-designed photographer's camera, but the basic feature set and disappointing video might not be for everyone.
Read the full review →The Fujifilm X20 is not only the camera that irons out its predecessor's orb-related imaging issues, it's also the camera that pushes image quality up a notch to class-leading levels.
Read the full review →We think style-conscious enthusiasts who can appreciate the shooter's retro good looks won't mind getting this advanced compact as a smaller alternative to their dSLRs.
Read the full review →The Fuji X20 is one of those cameras that inspires enthusiasm and gets photographers' juices going ... The high ISO settings could be better, the menus may take a while to master and the video mode isn't great, but, on the whole, the X20 is still one very attractive camera.
Read the full review →With its dependable build quality, impressive AF, excellent resolution and generally pleasing images, it's a welcome addition to an admittedly crowded market.
Read the full review →The Fuji X20 is a powerful digicam that gives complete control to the photographer. Its performance and image quality rival that of an entry-level dSLR as does its price tag.
Read the full review →While it does perform extremely well, we're not sure it's worth the extra premium ... so it may be worth waiting until the price drops a little before investing. That said, if you're a particular fan of Fuji, and its excellent design credentials, this is a sure fire winner.
Read the full review →The gorgeously classic 12 megapixel Fujifilm X20 - like the rest of the premium X series - is a camera that has personality ... Only slight inconsistencies when shooting JPEG and leaving the camera to its own devices prevent us from awarding the X20 that coveted fifth star.
Read the full review →The Fujifilm X20 is clearly more than just a slight improvement on its X10 predecessor. Despite some issues with the viewfinder, noise reduction and exposure compensation dial, on the whole it offers an excellent level of performance.

Read the full review →Like its predecessor, the X20 has been designed as a 'prestige' compact camera. ... Featuring the same 'retro' styling as its predecessor, the Fujifilm X20 appears superficially identical to the X10. But inside there have been plenty of changes to bring this advanced digicam up-to-date.
Read the full review →Fujifilm X20 delivers such a winning combination of old and new that offers so many important improvements over the original model that we can heartily recommend it for new and X10 users alike. Essential!

In the increasingly-competitive enthusiast compact sector, the X20 looks like it could be a standout camera for 'traditionalist' photographers who'll appreciate its manual zoom and optical viewfinder. But it's up against some extremely good cameras.
Read the full preview →Fujifilm seems to have listed intently to what its users were saying, and delivered a product that dramatically improves the most notable failing their X-series has had.
Read the full preview →The X20 still uses a straight optical viewfinder, but it now has a digital overlay that displays shooting information.
Read the full preview →But in the hand it's clear the X20 goes a little further too: the overlay covers the entirety of the viewfinder so it also shows up corresponding focus areas with a bright green outline ... it makes the X20's viewfinder experience a whole lot better.
Read the full preview →We really liked the images produced by the X10, and with such impressive advancements we can't wait to see how the X20 performs in our rigorous tests
Read the full preview →Fujifilm refreshes one of its affordable X-series models with some slick, high-end features.
Read the full preview →We weren't able to shoot any images with the pre-production sample of the Fuji X20 that we had access to, so we can't give any hard and fast indication of the image quality it produces. However, we have high hopes for the camera.
Read the full preview →It may not be a must-have upgrade for current Fujifilm X10 owners, but the X20 does appear to remedy many of the minor problems that affected the original.
Read the full preview →We were big fans of the original X10, so we're looking forward to having a proper go with the Fujifilm X20. All of the tweaks, complete with the flawless retro styling are certainly very appealing - we reckon this one's going to be big.
Read the full preview →The viewfinder and performance updates are definite winners, and we're quietly confident about the new BSI sensor from previous experiences. It looks like a great camera just got better and we can't wait to get a model to test.
Read the full preview →While we only had a short amount of time with the camera, the build quality and handling were excellent, with a solid feel and gorgeous design, with the silver and black two tone colour scheme looking particularly attractive.
Read the full preview →The X20 is very much the same camera as the X10 was with some very minor upgrades to the inside. We loved the X10 and in my own mind, I really have to wonder how the X20 will be able to compete with the rest of the point and shoot world in the future.
