I have one that was collecting dust in a drawer since I had moved. I recently saw a project that you could replace the firmware and make it a repeater. I was intrigued, and now I want to know if anybody else has hacked theirs. Also, does anybody know where I can find an AC adapter or what size the connector is? Apparently, being in storage for so long through two moves means that it's lost somewhere.
Hi, I'm curious about the web interface and functionality this device has. I've been running a plug computer for always-on NAS, media streaming and torrents but this seems to do a lot of that. The only other thing that my plug has that this doesn't is major extensibility since it's a rooted linux box. I'm curious about the plugins for this and how customizable it is. I'd also like to know how easy it is to setup and how user friendly it may be to a layman. Thanks!
I understand the laziness factor that somehow draws people to buy this $210 machine for facebook and whatnot but i mean besides that what advantages does this even have? What do they mean by sharing a connection i mean i can open my router to anybody as well in fact its like that by default so why should anyone hand over a couple hundred for this thing?
I am looking to purchase this in the US, but even on FON's own website they don't show it as available, and I can't find anywhere else that has the new 2.0N version. Anybody got a link for me?
