The interesting part is the distribution:
PS3 - 9 games
PC - 7 games
Xbox - 6 games
Wii - 4 games
DS - 2 games
These aren't exclusives necessarily, as it includes multiplatform games, but PS3 leads the exclusives with 5.
Here's the exclusive breakdown:
PS3 - 5 games
Wii - 4 games
PC - 3 games
DS - 2 games
Xbox - 1 game
PS3 is getting some big name exclusives this year - 3 huge sequels and 2 innovative newcomers.
The Wii is getting more Mario, all new-all-different Metroid, a dark Mickey Mouse game, and a ported Flash game.
The Xbox is definitely getting the short end of the stick....

I don't know if the 360 is getting the short end of the stick, they left off Mass Effect 2, easily one of the best 3rd shooter rpg-ish titles I have ever played, it was way more epic then the first one. Plus Halo Reach, Fable 3, and Metal Gear Solid Rising are all coming out end of year, which is where it looks like they pulled last years biggest hits. Not to say all the love is 360, the ps3(which I am sorry there is still no games I would buy it for, I got a Zune HD instead) is still getting good games, although they are axing downloadable AAA titles which is one thing I love about the 360 still.
Otherwise they did forget about Just Cause 2, which looks like a remarkable improvement over the first game.

also, where did you hear they were getting rid of great downloadable titles? I love their downloadable titles and that would be a huge loss..
They are just not going to do games on demand like the xbox due to size issues, it was on engadget and I imagine Joystiq, I am heading to class or I would grab the link. Its not talking about arcade like games like Fat Princess, just ps3 games ported to download like Bioshock was for the 360. I just bought bioshock off games on demand because my copy was traded to a friend for assassins creed and I have yet to play it but I love that they are releasing 1st gen games before the second gen comes out to give people a chance to replay them before they buy the second.
There have been a number of PS3 games released both hardcopy and softcopy - Warhawk, Gran Turismo HD, and Burnout Paradise come to mind. As for the older game titles released onto Xbox Live, its cool if you want a bunch of games instantly playable on the hard drive, but its been pointed out many times that you are paying a hefty premium to do it. You would save a lot of money just buying from a used game store or ebay... And the PS3 has way less storage issues than the Xbox overall - it can take any size 2.5" hard drive and backup games to external hard drives no problem.... I believe the issue with releasing old PS3 games is that, since they are on blu-ray, they are much larger than most Xbox games... The xbox finally has a 250 GB hard drive, but I have had that since way back when I got my PS3...
I also love that XBLA and the PSN share most games and each have their own great exclusives (Shadow Complex/Wipeout HD)...

ya, only 20 games for a whole year is rough... I could have even done without the DS games too myself. Halo Reach is a big one for me. Mass Effect, what I saw of the first one, looked like not a game for me. Maybe the second one will be, but I'm having way too much fun with Bayonetta. It is really innovative, great huge boss fights, and way cheesy fun humor. Dante's Inferno is next leading up to the God of War III launch. Fable is most definitely not a series for me either... We obviously just differ in straight action versus action/rpg games... Personally I play games to avoid reading... :P I couldn't really even get into Fallout 3... The game like that I played most was Bioshock, which I loved but still didn't finish...
The only wii games I care about are the sequel to mario galaxy and maybe that metroid.. I really hope those aren't the only good releases for it this year..

whats been really helping lately is getting 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night and pulling near all-nighters on weekends!! you can beat lots of games that way and advance deep into prestige mode on CoD! ;)
