Critic review bias against "The Verge"?
details
So, I've noticed that reviews from The Verge (for those unfamiliar, a very large tech news blog) are not included ever in gdgt critic review counts. If they are, I definitely haven't seen them. Is there any reason for this? I realize they are a direct competitor to Engadget, but they're still a reputable review source with very fair ratings. What gives?

Request a gdgt Score!
details
I LOVE this new feature we just pushed out: request a gdgt Score! Ever see a product you wanted a gdgt Score for? Well, let us know and we'll get to it as soon as we can!
We're not joking around, either: whenever you click that button your gdgt Score request gets sent directly to our research team's work chat room.
Note: if you're logged out we ask for an email to take the request (so we can let you know when we've posted the score).
P.S. -Don't worry about requesting gdgt Scores of big, noteworthy... Read more →

The next evolution of the gdgt Score: say hello to gdgt Must Have!
details
One of the most important things about #gdgtnext (also known as the latest version of gdgt that you happen to be using now) was the introduction of the gdgt Score and Recommendations: our data and research driven meta-review scores for gadgets, and our picks for the very best products, respectively.
Last night we released the next evolution of the gdgt Score, which we call gdgt Must Have. With gdgt Must Have, we sought to make our Recommended picks even easier to use: now the score and the Must... Read more →

The gdgt mobile site is now live!
details
A couple of weeks ago I posted about the early beta of our fresh new mobile site, and I'm stoked to announce that it's now live for everyone! Finally, right? Seriously, I've been waiting for this day since we launched.
Just point your phone at gdgt the next time you want to see the latest products we've reviewed and recommended, or whenever you're looking for specs, prices, and critic and user reviews of gadgets on the go.
Here are a few great pages to go check out on the new mobile site:
  • gdgt home...

Say hello to the gdgt mobile site (now in early beta)!
details
First, let me just say to everyone over the last couple years who's asked and begged and pleaded for us to do a mobile site, for those who for so long heard my stock answer ("We want it even more than you, but it's a big project -- we're working on it!"), let me just say this: you're about to be vindicated, friends.
We just pushed the first code for our beta mobile site live. If you're one of the couple thousand folks granted beta access, you can immediately begin testing the site -- if not,... Read more →

How to do the product write-up for Gdgt?
details
Have seen many articles along with the different products. My question is I do owe a tech magazine and want to include the articles along with other publications write-ups but do not know the procedure. It would be really great if some advice and suggestions provided. Thanks in advance.

Apps on gdgt: how should it work?
details
It's no secret that our number one all time top request has been adding apps to the gdgt database. It's something easier said than done (especially considering there are easily over a million apps out today between the major platforms) but that's not stopping us from doing it.
But here's the $64k question: what do you actually want apps on gdgt to do?
Assume the basics for products on gdgt: we'll have the same user reviews, answers, discussions, and gdgt lists (have / want / had) you've come to... Read more →

Printer recommendations
details
My situation may be rather unusual. I would like to find a printer that serves rather low usage spanning several weeks, does color, is wireless, and serves all devices. I have some candidates in mind but I would like your input in my decision making. Cost is an issue but not a deal breaker.

Radios of some sort?
details
Hey everyone, so I tried to add a wonderful Sangean radio that I love to death. And while Sangean is listed as a company there is no category for radios or something like that. Any idea if you guys are going to add that as a category? I know it's a slippery slope, you don't necessarily want to start letting people add clock radios and what not. But then again.....who knows. Thanks for listening.

Phone specs: CPU cores?
details
Hey folks,

I've found myself consulting phone specs in gdgt quite a bit for work purposes (e.g., when someone complains why their Android phone won't run our games) and I've encountered some missing data with regard to the number of cores a CPU has.

Is there any way we can get number of cores added to the Cellphones → CPUs? Or something like 2 x 1Ghz?

Edit: Fixing typos. Heyo!

a website similar to gdgt dedicated to automobiles! (or a section within gdgt) and ability for users to edit (following process similar to wikipedia)
details
most tech nerds are car nerds too imo. and there isn't a dedicated website in gdgt form factor for cars. so it wouldn't hurt to add a car section including basic specs if not detailed for some of the popular cars to start with.
another suggestion would be the ability for users to edit the specs following review and approval process similar to wikipedia.
