The most outstanding feature of the EcoXBT is that it is indeed totally waterproof. This makes the rugged wireless Bluetooth speaker ideal for rocking to your tunes outside — at the beach, by the pool, on the river, in the rain, wherever.

Taken as a whole, Ecoxbt is a good system, but due as much to its limited controls as its speakerphone performance, the design doesn’t quite live up to its potential.

Despite its heft, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring the EcoXBT on a camping trip, particularly if lakes or canoes are involved—somehow, the idea of just grabbing the speakers and tossing them in the water while you float around on a lazy summer afternoon sounds very appealing.
