Xbox is finally getting cloud storage.

Quite bummed that they were too busy with Kinect games to announce this during their E3 keynote earlier today.

Sweet! I've been itching for more game consoles to do this. Relying on onboard memory for saves (which can get corrupted or lost if your console goes down for the count) has caused some stress for those of us who've invested a ton of time into our favorite games. See Red Dead Redemption and Oblivion (which I'm STILL trying to finish!).

Not to mention that since your saves are in the cloud, you are no longer tied to a specific machine or have to deal with transferring your profile on a thumb drive.

This is huge for someone to has two Xbox 360's. I bought my wife the combo with Dance Central for Mothers day but moved the Kinect to my original Elite due to it being farther from the babies room. Now if she is playing, I can't start where I left off on any game because they are locked to that box. Can't wait for this.

I don't see this making a huge difference for me at the moment, but it could be a big deal when Windows 8 includes Xbox Live, and Windows Phone does as well. Having everything accessible together via the cloud would be nice.
