With the Apple September Event looming, is anyone else hoping for iOS4 for iPad as much as I am?

Tell me about it! The iPad just isn't as enjoyable to use after playing around with iOS 4 on my phone!

Well, the retina display has a lot to do with that....but i agree. iOS 4 completely changes your usage habits

I want the unified Inbox, proper support for the recent changes to MobileMe and the ability to have more than one Exchange account on my iPad. I really hope we get the update tomorrow.

You must not have an iPad, I take it?

Absolutely yes! Conversation-based email (I subscribe to a number of threads) is a must, as is the ability to play Pandora and NPR in the background. I am hoping we will see some innovations in the multi-tasking arena that take advantage of the iPad's larger screen real estate, such as "slide over" windows for IM and social networking apps.

My wife has recently decided that she would like an iPad as well, so the iOS4 update would fix a number of usability issues I am sure she will have.

Unfortunately, as MacRumors pointed out, they will probably have to release an SDK for iOS4 iPad before they release the software to the masses, so we may only get a developer preview release tomorrow. I'm fine with that, because I have a developer account, but still, it's kind of crazy that we've been playing with iOS4 on iPhones since last March (?) and iPad hasn't gotten a taste yet.
