Windows Phone 7 "Mango" Update

As iPhone user I feel jealous that WP7 gets all that twitter, linkedin and deep facebook integration, turn-by-turn navigation and Microsoft's version of Google Goggles that works awesome. If iOS 5 wont get total redesign, I will seriously think about Windows Phone as my next smartphone OS. What do you think? Is WP7 finally become a serious competitor to iOS and Android?

Whilst I currently do not own a WP7 device, I think the platform shows great promise, especially with the forthcoming Nokia hardware. To my mind, the only really selling point for iOS is as a development platform. Apple produces a dumb slab that allows developers to run their awesome apps. Ignoring the apps, I don't really care for the iOS operation system. I own and love my webOS device, but have serious app envy when looking at the number of apps available for operating systems that are not as polished, lacking finesse. So yes, I think it would be wise to switch platforms if iOS 5 doesn't offer vast improvements over the the current version and WP7 can do all of the things you need your phone to do.

I think it has. Now it just needs the clout and the ecosystem to catch everyone's interest in the platform.
