Windows 8 on the Blade

I'm downloading Windows 8 right now.

I took a look a the system requirements and saw that my blade matches the minimum specs pretty closely.
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch
S10 has a 2 Ghz Intel Z550, so that is above the minimum spec, 1 GB of RAM that can hopefully still be augmented via Readyboost, plenty of room on the SSD, Intel integrated graphics and even a resistive multitouch screen.

I figure this will be a good test of how well a computer near the minimum system requirements can handle Windows 8 and allow me to be able to take advantage of the touchscreen better then Windows 7 could.

Anybody else with a blade or other netvertible going to try this?

I'm going to give it a try on the JooJoo. Hopefully, it'll actually make it decent, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

How well does that the JooJoo run Windows 7? The system requirements are similar to Windows 8, so that should be a decent approximation.

I actually haven't tried any other OS on the thing other than the custom Linux OS on it. It's just been sitting around. I'll give it a go and see how it fairs.
