WiFi?

While customizing I couldn't figure out if this really doesn't have a wlan card.

All i could see was cellular broadband.

any hints?

Right under the wireless options when I went to customize it, it says that it has wireless b/g/n. It would be very backwards not to have a laptop with wireless in this day and age.

Even the lowest of netbooks get WiFi. Anyway this PC has a 10/100 WLAN card .

Actually the 'wired' ethernet connector is only at 10/100 (why its not 1GB NIC I don't know). The WiFi Card is an 802.11 b/g/n card.

If you are opting to use the WWAN card in the future, you are better off ordering it. There are no antennae to connect to if you don't purchase it at the time of ordering. It will cost $350 to "upgrade" it later which includes a new LCD display with antennae and the WWAN card.

You can add your own WWAN card and use one of the WiFi antennae if you want to go on the cheap or use an internal antenna which doesn't have enough range or you could wire one around the perimeter of the keyboard.

hey all. i need help :S
1. im thinking of the alienware m17x but i need to know if i can manually add a second gpu (ati 5870m).
2.im also thinking of the m11x but i wanted to know how worth it is the ssd. does it increase performance?
3. when playing heavy games, does the bonus 8gb ram help?

i wana go for the m11x cuz its small and portable, lotsa battery life, only thing is im a heavy gamer and i was wondering if (with or without the ssd) the m11x is going to survive the next generation of games to come, or atleast play decent gaes without low fps. if not ima go for the m17x.

thanks :)
