I never understood why people thought the Sidekick was only for teens. I had a Sidekick Color and a Sidekick 3 while working as a software professional and people were always impressed by what I could do on my phone. At one point everyone in my family had Sidekick models and the AIM between them was much better than what we have now on our iPhones and Blackberrys.
One of the greatest features was the contact and calendar syncing over the data network. iPhone finally has this now with CalDAV calendars, but that just arrived and is probably complicated for a lot of people to set up. However, the Sidekick had this feature automatically turned on from day 1. I would have like it if their calendar and contacts were easier to export out, but it was possible.
Those features were way ahead of its time and yet this device is always ignored...
