Who still uses their H3XX?
I've got an H340, which I still use. I also use it as a 'jukebox' to store all my music files and play on different computers.
It's got the Rockbox firmware, but I don't use many of the features due to the small screen. I've replaced the battery once. But apart from that it's still going strong.
I am considering the Zune HD or iPod Touch 3rd generation as a replacement (when released).

I've also got an h340, and just until recently (when I bought my new phone) i was using it as my primary portable music player. It's easy to sync with Mediamonkey, good battery life (after battery replacement, which was easier than I thought) and enough of gigabytes to store a good variation of my collection. On longer trips I usually bring it along to store photos on as a backup.
I think it's a pity that iriver stopped making harddrive based players in favour for flash, I'd really like to see an updated version of this.

I don't use it anymore but I really don't use any portable media players anymore for that matter.
I have fond memories of being at the postal sorting facility in Iraq and banging this thing around while packages flew(ahem were sorted) into their respective bins, and how much this thing got jossled around.
Even through all of the banging and josseling the device never once had a problem.
I River puts out great products which I think far surpass the quality of all of the ipods which I saw being sent back through the postal service a lot in Iraq. They break so easily.
Wanted to add that I do have the I River Clix Gen 2 and that is a great player as well.

I too have fond memories of this pmp. Loved the inclusion of the audio in and recording capabilities! Used to plug in my amp and mess about.
Sadly the HDD died after roughly 2 years of heavy use.
Good points:
Awesome build quality
Good I/O connections
Large capacity (at the time)
Usable as external HDD
Negative Points:
The HDD made brutal clicking noises for 6 mths, then died
Another negative point that i recall was the UI - it took about a week to get used to.
All in all i loved it

I use my H340 (with bigger capacity battery) almost daily, be it as an in-car jukebox with FM sender or for just listening at home. It has enough juice to adequately power my (moderately high impedance) HD650s without a separate amp, and with Rockbox the featureset is just about enough to even satisfy me!
Gapless FLAC, MP3 and Ogg playback on a 40Gb device - which can also act as a USB host for my digital camera and seems to run forever without needing to be recharged? Ah yes, that's why I bought it :D
I lucked out a while back and found boxwave.com selling some FlexiSkins for the H340s for ONE CENT EACH (which they're still doing! - www.boxwave.com/products/flexiskin/flexiskin-irive...) so even with the $12 shipping to the UK and a screen protector as well, I managed to buy five of them and come away with change from a £20 note. It's nice to be able to choose a colour depending on my mood ;)
Sadly the H140 remote doesn't work on the H340 without clicking, but I can quite happily make do with no inline remote when it has all the dedicated buttons you need anyway. I can't stand clickwheels either.
Mine's the one with the Luddite badge on the lapel, but I do loves me some oldskool iRiver tech!

I still use my H340 for music storage, home listening (docked with speakers), and for recording an occasional lecture.
I used to love the fact that I could shove it into a deep jean pocket (face out), and manipulate the buttons through my jeans with no problems, whatsoever. Biggest problem for me is that the damn audio recordings pick up the intermittently spinning hard disk.
I also dual-boot the original interface with Rockbox.

I acutally still use my H320 (upgraded to 40GB) regularly as an in-car jukebox, on long bus rides, flights etc. The sound quality is still one of the best out there.
I have rockbox installed so I also enjoy playing mario bro's and other classic gameboy games. Ive even used it at some gigs to try out Rockbox's recording capabilities.
Only negatives like others have said has been the crappy battery. Ive replaced that twice now. The original HDD also died after a few months of clicking.
I'm not planning on upgrading to an iPod or other player yet. While the H320 is a bit bulky, who cares when you're in a car or sat on a bus. For jogging, skiing etc I use my iriver T30.
I think i'll only get a new player when I can't find any more Gen I/II ipod battery replacements.

Upgraded the stock battery so I bring this on long journeys and leave my iPhone battery in tact. In addition this is also great for portable recording through the line in. Great build quality and it still sounds great after 5 years of operation!
As with everyone else on this thread, I've replaced my H340's battery, and I am using the rockbox firmware now.
I used to use it everyday at work to listen to music (programmer by trade), but that has stopped now since I work at home and don't need to use headphones. It was a bloody awesome player, even drove my Sennheiser HD555's (through the aux output) quite well.
