Which would be better Slim PS3 or Origional PS3?
After hearing rumors about a possible slim version of a PS3, i started to wonder whether to get one, exchange my PS3 for one, or just stick with the original.
but more importantly would it be worth it, (if you have a PS3)?
the only upside i could see is it would be more portable (lets call it PS3 GO)
P.S. i have the 60GB version

You want to stick with the 60gb model. The slim will obviously be smaller, it may have a reduced HD size because of this.
The only thing is, at least in the UK, is that people will pay more to buy a 60gb model because it can play PS2 games... I think there is a rumour going round that Sony have found a way to make all their consoles (although, likely to be only the slim PS3) run PS2 games. Anyway, point being it's up to you. You could sell your current one and buy the slim one when it's released, which is actually quite an attractive option for me as long as the slim model doesn't have a major disadvantage to the original. Or you could stick with the original.
I wonder if it would be easy to swap hard drives like it is with the original PS3...

You have hardware backwards compatability. Always stick with that. EVERY game in Sony's history works with your 60G PS3. Keep it. The PS3's with hardware back compat get a premium on ebay, so if you don't care about PS2 games then you might be able to sell your 60G and cover all costs of getting a slim once they drop.
I'm hoping any new PS3's have the same functionality as the original 60GB model. Unless you need a super slim, power-sipping, and no PS2 support-having PS3, stick with the original!

I hope any PS3's released from now on have the same functionality of the 60GB. It still hasn't been topped for pure functionality.
I think that the original would be best becuase the percent of those that fail are small and even though sony is reliable the slim might not have the same stability as the original. And the PS2 support... there is actually a download on the ps store for the ps2 backward compadability.
