What OS do you run on your Mini 9?

I've been dual booting the stock Windows XP and LinuxMint 6 for some time. Very happy with performance, but I am a bit bored and looking for a change. Considered the hackintosh route, but don't really want to invest in a runcore ssd right now. So what's everybody running on their mini and how do you like it?

I run Win XP Pro stripped down to bare bones. I have about 10 processes running on start-up. Upgraded the RAM to two gigs and added a 16 gig SDHC card because I only have a 4 gig SSD. Which will be the next thing to update. If you are interested in speeding up XP be prepared to do some research to tailor the system exactly how you want it.

WinXP Home (Greek) unfortunately until I change the 8GB SSD or someone manages to install some other OS like OSX or Win7 on it!

BTW, anyone willing to sell their 16GB SSD for the Dell?

I have Win 7.7100 on a 16gb SSD and kept Ubuntu on a separate 8gb SSD. The Win 7 performance is good but I think that it is just a bit better than XP Pro SP3. I did have to force the Vista drivers for the WiFi because the Win 7 drivers didnt appear to support PEAP here at work. I wish the display had been made taller and the keyboard a little less squished (but then it would be the 10 ) . It is amazing all my friends though. When I pick up my laptop bag I have to check to see if I forgot it. I have DJ'ed from it several times using a WD Passport drive and Atomix DJ software. The music played smooth and I had only one hesitation when the WD Passport went into power save mode during a 20 minute break. I am working on its next task of shooting and processing QTVR pano's on site.

I'm running Windows 7 RC1.

It's every bit as snappy as Windows XP running on the Mini 9, and is not only visually slick, but functionally slick as well.
I'm surprised at how this has ended up being a great combination for me.

Currently running the XP install that was included, dual boot with Jolicloud alpha. I'm keeping XP on it as it is the only Windows machine in my house at the moment, although the temptation to Hackintosh it is creeping up on me...

OS X 10.5.7 with a 32gb Runcore SSD and 2gb RAM.

Plan on installing Win7 RTM tomorrow (downloading from MS TechNet) on the 16gb SSD that came with it and swap them out when the mood strikes.

OS X on a stock 16GB SSD and 1 GB of ram. It does everything I need (Evernote, skitch, webmail, Pandora). I wiped it awhile back and installed Windows 7 RC. The next day I was back on OS X.

Windows 7 + Jolicloud as instant boot. I bought a 32GB SSD and 2GB RAM for it, so both run decently. OSX doesn't run badly either. Mind you, the tradeoff for running Ubuntu with the little speed difference it makes isn't really worth it - Moblin has run the best so far (hopefully including Facebook soon)

Great machine for running OS X. I am currently running OS X (and will probably still with it) although I have run TinyXP Rev 09 (which worked amazing, as always); Dell's stock OS Ubuntu worked great for the short time I ran it; and I also tried out the One-Laptop-Per-Child (OLPC) Sugar OS for a short while.

The point is, the DM9 is the Swiss Army Knife of computers...it can run ANYTHING great!!

Finally took the plunge last night and installed OS X 10.5.8. I haven't had the chance to fully work through everything, but I'm impressed so far. The only thing I had to add were some different Synaptics drivers to get tap to click and scroll working.

I use Ubuntu Netbook Remix v9.04, although I think I'm going to install OS X and dual boot it with Intel's Moblin OS. Ubuntu is a bit slow and buggy for me. And for a netbook OS, it really isn't all that user friendly.

I'm running Linux Mint as well and work's perfect. I still have the 8GB ssd and 2 GB Ram. Much faster then Windows XP and freed up 4 GB of space.

Anyone running FreeBSD on the mini? Thinking about installing it but wonder about support for the integrated devices.

You should move to Snow Leopard now; I'm up to 10.6.2 with all of my Audio working. The installation was absolutely simple and it's well worth the trouble

I'm currently using Karmic. I've also used previous revisions of Ubuntu, Moblin, Jolicloud, XP and 7 on my a90/Mini 9.

Of the OSes I've used, Karmic and Jolicloud are my favourites.
