What headphones do you use?

I know a lot of people have headphones in their 'have' lists, sometimes multiple, but which of those do they actually use and like? So I'm curious, what headphones (in-ear, on-ear, over-ear, IEMs, etc. etc.) do you own and use? Any that you'd recommend to other gdgt users?

Personally, I own a $30 of Creative EP-630 in-ear headphones and they are extremely worth the price and sound great. (I'm looking to upgrade soon though to something more powerful).

What about you?

Ultimate Ear MetroFi 170 - i use these if im on the go or need to drown out sound while I work at home

Sony MDR-V150 - I've had these since high school and I can't believe they're still holding up. I use them at work since it's easy to to keep one ear off while I work ( I have to be ready to answer the phone)

I'm really wanting to pick up a new set. I may just pick up the Astro A30 or Astro A40 since I want a pair for gaming anyway and they can serve dual purpose.

90% of the time, I use the Astro A30s (gdgt.com/astro-gaming/a30/). I normally wear cheapo ear buds (gdgt.com/sennheiser/mx-400/), but my last pair broke so I started using these and I'm pretty happy with them. The sound quality is much better than the ear buds I was using and it has a mic built in, so I can use it with my phone when I'm walking around or on Skype/Facetime.

When I'm at work, I use the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro (gdgt.com/sennheiser/hd-280-pro/). The sound quality is pretty great, comfortable when wearing for long periods of time, and they're more sound proof than the A30s.

I've been looking at the A30s recently. How are they comfort wise? How's the sound quality, specifically for music?

I have weird ears so with other headphones I've used that had the padding pressing on my ears too long, I start to get ear aches. With these, it seems to rarely happen. As for the sound quality, I think they're pretty great. Pretty balanced frequencies, nice bass reproduction. I'm very happy with it overall.

Just wanted to note, that I didn't pay for these. I just saw that they're $200 on the Astro site (www.astrogaming.com/a30-audio-system-astro-edition) and until this point I wouldn't have thought that I had such an expensive (IMO) pair of headphones on my head. If I had to pay out of my own pocket, I probably wouldn't get them based on cost alone.

Actually, if you get just the headset alone (not the MixAmp too), they're only $130! :)

Okay i've posted this on someone's question, who was looking for cheap headphones.
"Skullcandy-is cheap but break often, but not quite as often as the apple headphones.
Bose-are a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. Had a pair that have lasted over a year so far. (i have in ear ones, but the over ear ones are very nice. friend has a pair)
Dre's-If you are going to get these, only get the over ears. in ears break QUITE frequently. At least the mic/volume part does.
Sennheiser-Good quality, but not the best. I prefer Bose for sound quality.
V-Moda- Cheap and last a long time. BUT cheaper ones tend to break easier. Much better than Skullcandy though"

Personally I use BOSE in-ears. I've owned V-Moda's, in ear dre's, in ear skull candy's but never sennheiser. If you were to look for over ear's and don't care about price, I would go with Dre's or Bose QC15's. Both great pairs and often debated on which is better. but if you were to go in ear and want long lasting headphones, Bose are probably the way to go.

I absolutely love the Klipsch S4 in-ear buds. I haven't found any other pair that are as durable and clear sounding as these in the sub-$100 range.

I love V-Moda's buds, and the Crossfade LPs are nice (just not for a long period of time). I've reviewed both:

If you like buds, you really can't go wrong with the Vibratos:

Plus V-Moda offers a pretty rad replacement program even if you wash them with your jeans (as I've done) or your friend's dog ate them (this too).

I use sennheiser CX-500s with the medium size single-flange buds that came with them. Noice isolation is pretty adequate. Fit is perfect. I can wear these all day without any discomfort. Sound quality is pretty good; about right for mid-range phones. I sometimes have to dial down the bass through my DAP's EQ though. Bought 'em for around $70+ 3 years ago to replace the MX-400s my niece tore apart. They're currently available for less than $30 through Amazon. They have served me well so far... Right now I'm eyeing the MEE A151s so I can have a taste of balanced armature drivers...

I had a pair of EP-630s for the longest time, after I wore out the second pair I decided I needed to stop using that brand. Seems like that always happens with my earbuds, I use them and eventually the wires start showing.

As for what I use now.
My primary set are a pair of V-Moda Vibratos. The headset doesn't 100% work with Android devices, but they sound nice.

My backup set is a pair of phones I bought from a no name vendor at the Puyallup fair. I had to pay using Square on an iPad. These work ok and are more compatible with my phone. When these break I might buy some more EP-630s.

When I am at my computer I use the V-moda Crossfade LPs I won at gdgt Seattle a couple of years ago. Those are probably my nicest pair, mostly because I can't abuse them by taking them everywhere.

I own and love my Sennheiser HD 555's for around the house or gaming. If you're paying over $100, it's hard to go wrong with Sennheiser. For exercising I use some simple Skullcandy INK'd earbuds, which are good enough, but you can hear any vibrations on the cord and can get annoying.

I probably own too many pairs of headphones for my own good but the ones that I use the most are the AIAIAI TMA-1 headphones with a JDS Labs cMoy BB amp.

I own way to many headphones as well but I usually one use one. I use my $120 pair of Sennheiser HD215's the most. They're great. They are extremely comfortable, great sound quality and they are extremely durable. I've have had no problems yet and I have had them for almost 4 years now. They mad be a little expensive but they're worth it for the reasons listed above
