What excites you about this?
Having just gotten rid of our old Tivo HD, I'm wondering what's so compelling and amazing about this upgrade? Is it new Tivo software? Does the hardware do something the previous model lacked? I dunno, I'm just not feeling the same way I used to feel about this.
It's faster and looks like getting to internet content (Revision 3, CNet, ect) is going to easier to access and use. Also, since it's using a multi-core processor (or multi-processors) it should have better load times and run much smoother. Using flash means adding apps to it will be easy for content providers too. Smaller footprint (and probably more energy efficient) makes it a better fit in my entertainment center too.
I've had a Series 3 since 2005 and I will buy a Premiere as soon as it's available.

I think this only excites the die hards. It is clearly a better unit than what was available previously, but if someone wasn't excited about Tivo before this isn't going to sway them.
I think Ben Drawbaugh has it right that Tivo fixed one problem, but 10 problems remain. The big ones (in my opinion):
Real MRV
No built in SDV
The ridiculous price/service fee
