What do you guys think of the Samsung UN55B7000
my "people" just ordered this for me and it's being installed next week. What do you guys think of it?
I have a lower-end model, the UN40B6000 but I love the damn thing. It has the sharpest, most pixel-perfect picture I have ever seen. However, my only beef with this set is the lack of inputs and outputs. I don't know about your high-end model, but mine has 4 HDMI inputs and only one set of composite inputs, plus USB, optical audio in and such, but being without other inputs such as component, etc., it is not friendly with "older" devices. Still love it, so I (rather, my devices) have to move on and keep pace with "modern" technology.
I've only seen this set at my local Best Buy, but that set just doesn't look good to me. The off angle viewing is not very good, and the light looks artificial. Now this is looking at it in a store setting, but I would go for a local dimming set more than an edge dimming set.
The colors really pop on this TV. Plus, it's thin, light, and easy to mount. Throw in PC integration and Yahoo Widgets and this thing really rocks. I just wish it had Netflix built-in and that there was a Yahoo Widget for downloading video podcasts - like TWIST. :-)
