The Ultra HD can shoot HD video so how does it compare to the slightly larger (but still compact) camcorders from sony and canon?

The slightly larger Sony or Canon camcorders will produce much better quality, but you pay for it. The Flip Ultra HD performs poorly in low light conditions and because it is so light and small it's tough to keep the video steady. For $
