I’ve exclusively shot with DSLRs for the past 6 years (Canon EOS 40D and 20D). I have always wanted to get a point and shoot camera that I could carry around during those times when lugging a DSLR and a few lenses just didn’t make any sense. I have never purchased one because I could not find one with all of the features I believe that I need.
RAW File format
Fast Lens
High Usable ISO
Etc….
The one desirable feature that the Canon PowerShot S90 lacks is a real viewfinder. I find it difficult to purchase a camera that lacks a viewfinder. I’m not sure that I can get use to composing photographs while holding the camera at arms length.
Is anyone in a similar situation? Do you find the lack of a viewfinder to be a problem? Do the other features makeup for this short coming?

Using the PowerShot S90 Without a Viewfinder - Is this a problem?
I haven't found the lack of a view finder to be a hindrance at all. I've shot a lot with both DSLRs and point & shoots, and while I love composing shots with a view finder, I realize a point & shoot is generally for a different purpose.
Also, nearly every viewfinder I've ever used on a P&S camera is complete garbage. Fortunately, the S90's screen is big enough and bright enough, that it's a non-issue in my opinion!
