I don't know if it's a flaw specific to my unit, but I think that they're very unconfortable. The cushion makes me feel pain in the ear skin, what doesn't happen with other in-ear phones such as Sony MDR-EX32LP which I also have, and it's not nearly as retractable as regular in-ear plugs that you buy at stores.
I've modded an in-ear 3M plug into it so I can have more confort, but it's too much work, at it's also not reusable.

The package came with something like 4 pairs of different tips, all of which I needed since they had a habit of losing themselves. I've even used toilet paper in a pinch. I eventually gave up and poked holes through a pair of earplugs instead. They worked well, but one side stopped working and I didn't want to bother with fixing them.
