I own this receiver, and have three problems. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it!
1. The volume control moves slowly at first, then very fast (like changing the time on an alarm clock). Can this be changed to move at a constant rate?
2. When turning on the receiver with a Harmony remote, the input defaults to the last input used, rather than the input I want. So if I watched a blu-ray movie last night, then press "watch TV" this morning, the input will be blu-ray drive, even though the remote has sent it a command to use the TV input.
3. When connecting my iPhone I would like to use the iPhone to control playback. The system seems to force me to use the remote + onscreen guide, which is cumbersome.
Pioneer support was unable to help me solve these problems.

I don't know the answer to your first two questions, but there is a way to manipulate the iphone manually. The remote control has a button directly below and to the left of the enter button, with the graphic of a house and a label below that reads IPod CTRL. When you plug in the iphone, you can press this button to toggle back and forth between manual manipulation and remote control.
