After purchasing the iPad nearly 6 months ago, I still find myself using it as much as I ever have. One thing that I started thinking about recently was my experience using the iPad to produce long form written content -- ranging from email, to blog posts, gdgt posts, or anything similar.
I find that I can actually type relatively fast on the iPad, using only the touch screen and not looking at where I'm typing. However, there seems to be a very tiny bit of lag that often pops up while I'm in the middle of a sentence. Every few sentences or so, the iPad will hiccup, and end up skipping a number of letters or even words.
It happens often enough that it's actually pretty frustrating and makes typing much more of a chore than it should be. It's happened to me with both the iOS 3.1.2, iOS 4.2 betas, on fresh reboots, in various applications. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Thoughts on typing long form content with the iPad after 6 months of use.
Exactly the same for me on OS3 and the latest 4.2 beta. It doesn't really bother me as i usually stop every now and again as I am not a gifted typist. I did wonder for a while if it was caused by my bad typing and it was the error checking taking a while to catch up on all my typos?
