I bought these about a year ago after much research and decided on this model. Overall, I'm very happy with the build quality and sound quality. They are crisp and have great bass (when inserted properly!). While the good aspects are well covered in other review, there are some negatives that I think I should share for anyone considering them:
Cable Length
As with other headphones, these have a 2-part cable. The base cable is a shorter one and a much longer extension is provided. All good except the base length is pretty much absolutely useless for anything. Even using an upper-arm-band for an iPod, these barely reach and the headphones are constantly getting pulled out of my ears (I dont bother with the armband anyway, these headphones are no good for sports). Because now I always have to use the extension, this makes the cable far too long and I have excess cord to stuff into my pocket. The connection point between the 2 cables is also quite bulky and heavy and is always getting caught on my clothes and weighing the whole thing down - pulling out the headphones in the process, again! I'm forever having to readjust the way they sit in my ear (it's probably about time I moved to a bigger size rubber earpiece anyway.) And the motion of walking means this connector is swaying back and forwards, sometimes insanely annoyingly and I find I'm always having to steady it or hold it. Because of the in-ear technique, this rubbing back and forwards of the cable actually produces noise you can hear through the cable.
I have had to reglue one of the earpieces as the glue had become unstuck. Reasonably painless job with supaglue as these are just metal and dont perish like a plastic unit would.
I still would recommend these headphones, just be aware of this issue!
