This thing lasted a year for me. It slipped out of my hands and landed on the kitchen floor. The lens wouldn't retract anymore.
Haven't bought a camera since, but I definitely plan to. It took good quality photos but was definitely bulky. It also runs on AA batteries. Horrible battery life.
