The Blue Angels are in town for San Francisco's annual fleet week celebrations. Despite all the hipster rage against anything related to the military and the sound of loud aircraft flying over our fair city, I absolutely love it when they visit (probably stems from some childhood dream of wanting to be a fighter pilot).
Anyway, it's become a yearly ritual for me to find some new and interesting place to post up and shoot photos of the jets from. This year I think I'm going to go big and rent one of these for the weekend. I'm drooling at the prospect of capturing photos with it (might use it to shoot surfers, kite boarders, and such as well this weekend). My back is also already sore in anticipation of carrying it around.
Have you shot air shows before? What are your favorite lenses to use?
