These puppies went through the wash
I washed these headphones By a mistake in the washing machine and amazingly, they still work. Say what you will about them but any pair of headphones that can be SUBMERGED in water and still work is all right by me.
They're not particularly special in that regard...it's pretty hard to get that much water down a tiny half millimetre tube in enough quantity to damage these. Water damage is usually a case of shorting circuitry...not much circuitry to short and, unless they were still plugged to your iPod, no electricity to cause a short.
I took mine to the gym the other day, and after a treadmill workout, the sound kept cutting out in one earbud (due to sweat) and then later the Voice Control function on my iPhone started activating on and off constantly. I know these aren't meant to be waterproof buds, but they really shouldn't be so sensitive to a little workout sweat.
Love them though for the price. I have a pair of Shure SE530 which I used when I want to really listen to music, but these are my daily use headphones. And the sound quality is really good.
