These are the most uncomfortable earphones I have ever used. I can't believe that Apple still uses this awful design.
They don't fit or stay in my ear at all. Terrible!!!!
These headphones aren't for everyone. I find them to be the most comfortable earbuds of this style (plastic, not in-ear) in this price range. They don't sound great, but for me, I can have them in for hours at a time no problem. Some people complain that they are too small, but that is why the foam covers are included. For people like you though, they just don't fit right, and there really is no remedy.
At the price range I've been buying headphones (and I mainly haven't been doing that, as I get whatever is bundled with electronics), the iPod earphones are the best I've used - including Sennheiser and Nokia. I haven't gone out and bought any Shures to compare them to, but they're comfortable enough for me.
