They are light weight compared to others headsets of this size that I have tried. I chose these because I wear glasses and the padding is soft enough to allow me to wear my glasses without feeling the arms of my glasses pinch my head. Because of this, I do not get headaches from the headset being too tight. The sound is good. Lots of bass. The new mic locks into place and it is handy to be able to remove it when not needed. Build quality is good. It feels sturdy enough despite being so light weight. I would recommend them as a good "middle of the road" headset. Enjoy.
