Very few, if any, PCs have screens, trackpads, or size & weight better than the MBA. It is not for everyone, but you do get quite a bit for your money. The ASUS ux31a ultrabook is not cheaper, nor is it as good of build quality in some respects, but I think the ux31a is a great ultrabook.

It is $100 cheaper than last year's model actually.

You are always welcome to your opinion on price. It is worth it for some people, and not for others
