the number pad

I'm trying to figure out, is the number pad actually usable? As when I look at this remote, it looks all aerodynamic and comfy to hold - all except the

4 5 6
7 8 9
+ 0 E

so what would you say?

That does look kinda awkward, almost need two hands to type in what channel you want.

Similar layout as a telephone. No issues using them

Setup favorite channels, skip the number pad. Get awesome channel icons here -- www.iconharmony.com/icons/

It is very awkward. I've had this remote for about 6 months now and I do notice that I use both my thumbs whenever I need to press any of the "lower" buttons.

I guess if I had touchscreen buttons properly programmed, I would never need to press them anyway :)

Yes, it has an awesome favorite channels option. I don't find the numbers bad to use, the rare times I do though.

Yeah, I find I don't use the number pad much. Having set up the favorites, I tend to use them.

Its a little weird when i use it w/ my 360 to type names of things im searching for.... but when it comes to changing channels, its not that bad... I love this remote and its full range of features far outshine a few small issues...

I've been using this remote for more than a year. I don't use the number buttons very often, but when I do I haven't found the layout a problem. It is standard for remotes. My only complaint is that the glossy black surface attracts my grubby fingerprints better than anything I own.
