The Leaked hardware for ATT looks underwhelming. I definitly want a WP7 phone but I sure hope OEMs come out with something more inspiring.
What do you guys think about the leaked hardware (cetus, and the lg slider)
I think the hardware that has been leaked so far look good, or atleast comperable with top of the like android handsets. I am more interested in hardware which is designed from the ground up for WP7, something which is a little more squared off and metro ui looking (ala zune hd). The current leaked handsets will still need to go through some polish before final release, but I agree that there seems like there is a lot more potential with WP7 hardware than we have seen so far.
I think the problem is that most of these leaks have been in the form of prototypes, or unflattering blurry-cam shots. Once we get near the official launch, we'll start seeing more final hardware and it will hopefully be more impressive. The other issue is that WP7 devices are probably not going to be too dissimilar to the high-end android sets we already have now, and have been seeing for the past 6 months. That dampens the surprise even more. Samsung and LG don't have a great track record of really inspiring hardware either, in my opinion. I'm really waiting to see what HTC has up their sleeves.
