The G2 won't support tethering at launch.

This makes me so mad at T-Mobile. So much for vanilla 2.2 and with HSPA 14.4 supported, well that will make hacking this phone so much sweeter.

Agreed. I'm hoping this might be just a miscommunication of some sort.

Or at the very least it gets enabled with an update.

Are there no wifi tethering options in the Android Market?

That is extremely disappointing. I hope they don't strip that functionality from my Nexus One when the 3.0 update lands.

Do any of the carriers allow tethering without paying some extra fee? I know Sprint does not.
