Switch off below 10,000 feet?

When flying, do you switch off your Kindle between take-off and 10,000 feet (when "all electronics should be switched off") and just before landing? I have tried to keep it on once and was alerted to switch it off by a flight attendant, didn't argue with her and just complied. I think that is still an advantage of paper books which I miss.

Yups, I always turn it off following their requests. Seems just unnecessary caution, but hey, I can still survive for 15 minutes without having to play with my gadgets.. :)

It also forces me to carry some paper magazines, which is always nice.
