Sprint is seriously the best carrier, hands down.

Why does everybody say that Sprint sucks?
They have the best rates on their plans.
The fastest data.
Plus, you also get the ability to roam on Verizon's network! (for free!)
Yeah, the phone selection isn't all that, but it is getting better at a rapid pace.
Customer service is top notch for me. (never had a problem)
Anyone else still like Sprint? =]

i have sprint but im not too excited about having it...
but i gotta agree with your points, but lets not forget that we miss out on MANY phones, i mean nokia phones, apple's iphones, htc g1, htc touch hd...etc..

hoenstly tho i love sprint in the sense that i have no problems with it, i don't pay too much for a plan that fits my family (110 bucks around for 3 people combined ($36/person for unlimited everything)
my bro gets unlimited blackberry data for some reason as well in out everything plan so thats a plus.
we get 1yr upgrades too, which is another plus. (premier member)

so im not complaining, but i do wish we could get our hands on those other phones that are gsm only.

and yes, lets point that out again:
we have the fastest data available, and its available in more areas
(iphone 3gs's 7.2Mbps is only available in certain parts of chicago at the moment, and it destroys ur battery i heard)

I've really got to agree with you. I hear a lot of people put Sprint down, but I've never really understood why.

If you have a budget, Sprint is the carrier for you. Not having a wide selection of devices is a problem, but the Palm Pre is AT LEAST competitive with any other device on the market.

hands down the best price and decent coverage to go with it but sprint could work on getting better phones though the palm pre was a very big plus in that sense and the upcoming blackberry tour too

WOW. You make some strong claims there, many of which are just flat out false.

ON CUSTOMER SERVICE:
You said you never had a problem. I can respect that. However, One or Two People Does Not Constitute A Trend. But here's a trend thats noteworthy....

ON DATA SPEED:
They are, by no means, the worst, but it is out right false to say they have "the fastest data"

Kamaraderie, I can respect that you like Sprint and that you never had a problem with their customer service. We all own our own experiences and no one can deny us that. However, it is a disservice to our peers on this site to claim that they have the "fastest data" and "the best rates." I hope, as the founders of this site hope, that these forums remain a useful resource and not of misinformation. As a current Sprint subscriber myself I reject baseless/false claims about any company, even if theyre expressed from a place of loyalty.

Same - Been with Sprint for 8 years now and it's great. Service out here, (Central MA) isn't as good with sprint as it is with AT&T, but its close. Phones are great, service is great, and believe it or not, customer service has always done well for me. I have had a few billing issues, but online chat service and phone service has been great.

To each their own, some people have good and bad experiences with different carriers. Some people are fan boys of their service/products, you know like my air jordans are awesome and your adidas suck.

I for one have had bad experiences with sprint and they will never get another dime from me. I use AT&T and for the most part i am happy enough with them. But i think i would be tempted to service provider hop if AT&T didnt have the iphone and of course if my entire family didnt use AT&T.

I've been with Sprint for around 13-14 yrs now. Their customer service can be iffy, but I've never seen such great prices for family data plans. Or just data plans themselves. I will eat my shit if I can find a plan that's better than my 130 dollar a month plan: unlimited EVERYTHING with a shared 1500 min. And fast as hell data. Not as crippled as ATT.

I love Sprint. Their prices are amazing (currently on a SERO plan) and their speed is unbeatable (I have tried Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile). Their phone selection may not be amazing but it is fine. I find it easier to find a phone from their selection compared to other companies who have way too many phones to consider-- it keeps it simple. I have never had any issues with their customer service, but that is the same with all the other carriers as well.

I agree. i've had Sprint for 8 years now and have never been with another carrier for one reason: never needed to change. Customer service is great, coverage is amazing (i always have reception where my friends don't), the features are great, they offer so many rewards, and its the cheapest carrier. Phone selection does suck but that problem is fixed because everyone can just get the Pre which is a dope phone.

I had sprint for 8 years until I changed to AT&T for the iPhone. In that 8 years I had an outage for 20 minutes once when a tower was down or something for maintenance. After switching to AT&T I had full bars, but calls would always drop and continue to do so. I seriously am considering the palm pre. The problem is I love the iPhone 3Gs that I have. Oh well, we'll wait and see what comes of this later.

great data network for ages, but bad marketing decisions and poor customer retention has them on the losing side of the carrier wars.

Completely agree.

Personally, i think sprint is the only good network (BESIDES CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!) But they are all friendly at stores and cheap. AT&T are snobs and say their the best just because they have the iPhone. VZW sucks. They have to have ther software on all their phones. Which is pretty cause no more App world or Windows mobile store in future devices. ( gizmodo.com/5313854/verizon-phones-will-have-veriz... ) And i think every1 can agree, t-mobile just flat out sucks.

Their phone variety sucks very bad, as well as their tech support in Chicago. I got an iPhone now. The quality isn't the best, but the phone rocks, and having a sim card is golden. I'm not locked into what phone the provider will let me use, I can get anything I want from anywhere as long as it supports the ATT GSM spectrum. If Sprint was GSM, I would have stuck with them.
