When it's just as easy to unplug the thing to reset the connection, and on some devices you have to unplug the thing to get to the reset button, what's the point? What I want to reset is the *** damn password to access the settings. Sometimes, far too often, I forget what password I used, or what letters are capitalized or replaced with symbols (! instead of i). (I still can't remember what password I used for my parents Yahoo e-mail account, and I've been wracking my brain for months.)
(Damn thing doesn't seem to work with the Xoom.)

So what is the recessed "reset" button supposed to do?
With this kind of wireless router, there's usually a 'secret code' for resetting the device to factory settings:
1) press and HOLD the reset switch (the recessed button)
2) pop out the power connector, and WHILE HOLDING THE RESET SWITCH
3) reinsert the power connector. wait just a few seconds and let go of the reset switch.
then your device will be virgin as brand new.
