Simple smart phones

My mom who is middle aged and wants to switch to a smart phone. Knowing her she NEEDS it to be simple and very reliable. I was thinking iPhone because it is just that... simple and fast. Any other phones or OS's we should consider?

when looking at mobile OSs you have ios, android, rim and webos. rim for blackberrys is more for businesses. webos is good, but not on many new phones. android is just not for beginners. ios is your best bet. get her an iphone.
