Sim card?

who thinks it would be cool if this had a sim card slot built in?

That would be awesome. Otherwise I'd expect at least a USB-Host functionality that supports tethered phones as 3G modems.

The last update, I believe, stated that it would be under $300. $299 I think is the precise number they said. Maybe Michael Arrington would like to comment, as he does have a profile on here.

they talked about the oversized ipd touch in the post on crunchgear. the biggest advantage the crunchpad has over the mythical tablet is that the tablet will probably cost 800 bucks filling in for the white macbook. that's at lease 500 dollar price difference. depending what os each runs the crunchpad has an advantage but the apple tablet will have the apple logo and they can throw some os x stuff at it. i don't think they are going to release an oversized ipod touch but an new macbook.(tablet)

I personally don't see any product of apple being able to compete, in the price catagory at least. Apple cares about a little something called margins and what not. It comes down to the fact that they wouldn't be in the catagory. Not to say I wouldn't be the first in line for an apple tablet. You know what it would look really nice next to? My Crunchpad.
