Shocked by how fast T-Mobiles HSPA+ was. I have the Sprint EVO 4G & HSPA on the Vibrant blew it away. 9/4 vs 3/1!

Makes me pissed I didn't switch to T-Mobile!

If I am not mistaken that wasn't HSPA+ because the Vibrant doesn't have HSPA+, it only has HSPA and if in the right area the theoretical speed is 7.2mbps. HSPA+ has a theoretical speed of 21mbps download although I just read it will be around 14mbps.

And it is funny that everyone always makes fun of tmobile for not even talking about a true 4G when in fact their 3G and HSPA+ is much faster then Sprints 4G.

I may have been wrong but they were showing the old HSPA rocket working, the new HSPA+ rocket wasn't demoed but they did show me the Vibrant and I swear she said it was using the HSPA+.

I gained alot of respect for T-Mobile last night at the #GDGTSeattle event.

Yeah the Vibrant was touted as having HSPA+ speeds without HSPA+. Tmobile has yet to launch a HSPA+ phone yet and the closest phone is in September with the HTC "Vanguard", which now looks like the Mytouch 3G HD.

Yes I have MT3GS not fully utilizing HSPA+ but definitely getting a bump from it. My coworker has the Evo 4G, paying the extra $10 a month for 4G and our speeds were very close, he did best me on 2 of the 5 speed tests but overall we were even.
