I find that the reflective surface of the monitor on this camera is unfriendly to the best angle for daytime photography, sun over your shoulders. So I went to the reliable folks at Hoodmanusa.com, who provide monitor sunshades for nearly every type of display. Sure enough they have a model, H300, which you can buy directly or on eBay, for a fair price. The Hood is a cube roughly 31/2" by 3 by 2.5, collapses flat, and slips on to the camera's swing-out monitor with an elastic band. it takes seconds to put on and saves a lot of aggravation. -kwm
