Scary firmware update.

I just got this blu-ray player and I actually had the wifi adapter from when I bought my samsung television. Once I plugged it in it prompted me for the latest v2.05 firmware. I had read about earlier issues people had so I was a bit worried, but I love new firmware so I went ahead and let it do it's thing. So after it got done downloading it went to install the update and told me it would shut down when it was finished. I waited about 5 or 10 minutes or so and the install screen went away and it automatically went into the network setup screen of the main menu. It just sat there but the LCD on the front still set Net-Up as if the update was still in progress. I waited another 10 minutes and still nothing happened. I tried to use the remote to exit or even power off and nothing worked. I started looking online to see if anyone had similar problems, but didn't find anything. I did read on one of the cnet boards to NOT unplug the player as it will basically break it. After another 5 minutes or so I said screw it and unplugged it. I figured since I just bought it I could probably just take it back to walmart and get another one. I turned it back on and I guess if it is bricked it will stay on the "Load" horribly ugly bubble screen. Luckily it went to the main menu screen and it actually updated successfully. It was very scary and firmware updates shouldn't be this worrysum.

I have read that using the usb flash drive to update might be better and more streamline.

Anyways good luck to all!
