Right Side D-Pad

The D-Pad looks to be on the right side of the device. Has anyone ever used a device with a configuration like this? As trivial as it sounds, it makes my head hurt a little thinking about it.

I'm I crazy?

It makes sense to put the d-pad under the thumb of your dominant hand, especially if you have to press down hard on the buttons from them to click.

If it were more of a d-pad on a ball, then you could probably get away with putting it on the left side of the phone.

Problem is, not everyone is right handed. All you right handed people screw it up for the rest of us!! :)

I don't really know if thats a valid argument, afterall all us righties grew up using a dpad under our left thumb. I really do not think the side matters at all.

My HTC phone had a dpad on the right side if you had the keyboard out... I had the Cingular 8125.

My old LG enV had a d-pad on the right side of the QWERTY, and I never had a problem with its placement.

now is it a optical pad(like BB Onyx) or a regular d-pad (like N97) on the right

On a phone probably not, but if you look at a regular keyboard the d-pad is on the right so this actually makes a little bit of sense, does look weird though.
