Reliability

I was wondering if anyone else has had reliability problems with their iamakeys, having had mine collapse in a heap (as well as my 1tb lacie external hdd) ihve now got a 100% fail rate for lacie products.

That's not good. Which hard drive did you have that failed?

I've not had any issues with mine, and it's been used a LOT.

No problems with my 8GB key, it has been formatted as EXT3, FAT32, and NTFS without issues.

I haven't had my iamakey for very long, but my Lacie Rugged has been amazing! It takes a bunch of abuse because I just throw it in my backpack all the time.

I've had other Lacie drives in the past and only one of them has failed, and that was my fault. I put the wrong power supply in and burn the poor thing out.

The first iamaKey I got failed within a week, got it replaced about a month ago and it's been a dream ever since.

At my work we handle LaCie product returns, in 6 months I've only seen 2 of the entire *Key range get returned. They're very reliable and fail very rarely.
