Discussion about
Reason #25,697 why I won't buy a PS3.
Sony is going to start banning people from PSN unless they sign a new TOS that waives their right to sue them in the event of another security breach.

Bullshit.

Time to write an angry email / letter to Sony's CEO and various VPs. Of course I'll be sure to include to following text in my signature:
READ CAREFULLY. By reading this email, you agree, on behalf of your employer, to release me from all obligations and waivers arising from any and all NON-NEGOTIATED agreements, licenses, terms-of-service, shrinkwrap, clickwrap, browsewrap, confidentiality, non-disclosure, non-compete and acceptable use policies (“BOGUS AGREEMENTS”) that I have entered into with your employer, its partners, licensors, agents and assigns, in perpetuity, without prejudice to my ongoing rights and privileges. You further represent that you have the authority to release me from any BOGUS AGREEMENTS on behalf of your employer.
I'm sure that will solve the problem. ;)

It apparently wouldn't hold up in a UK court, according to GamePolitics:

Sony, they just love bad publicity, don't they. I can't think of another reason for them to go out of there way to displease there customers. I guess I'm more surprised that thus kind of language wasn't already in the TOS.
Of course I refuse to buy Sony products to it's not like they're loseing my money.
