Ram upgrade
Has anyone attempted to upgrade the RAM in this model. I am considering doing it, but I have heard it was a huge pain on some of the past models. Have they made it easier on this one?
It could not be easier to upgrade RAM. There is a small hatch on the bottom of the unit held in place with one screw. You will find one single RAM slot under it. It comes with one single 1 GB RAM module, and can be upgraded to to a maximum of 2 GB of RAM in a single chip. Use DDR2 533 SDRAM. I got a Kingston 2 GB module for $22. I did notice less lagginess when running several applications at once.
Thanks for the info, didn't realize they were so cheap (seeing a few around $33 here in Canada) will give it a look.
