Questions for anyone who has it...
Looking at getting this phone but I have a few questions:
1) Is the GPS actually AGPS? The HTC site says standalone GPS.
2) Is the GPS unlocked or do you have to use VZ Navigator? (Can you use Google Maps or Bing?)
3) How responsive is the touchscreen to finger taps?
4) How is the keyboard for texting vs the iPhone?
Thanks!

1) Not sure how to actually tell if it is AGPS, so I cannot help you there
2) It is unlocked. I used it with Bing the other day. Interestingly, Google maps said it will not work with this version of WM. Strange.
3) It is very responsive. I have been very impressed so far
4) The keyboard takes some getting used to, but it seems to be pretty effective.
I have the phone as a demo from Verizon, and I am going to have a VERY hard time giving it back. I'm broke right now, but if I had the money to get it, I would. Even though my contract is not up for another year.

Thanks! I suppose you could find out if it was AGPS by turning off the cellular in wireless manager and seeing if it still knew your location but you'd probably have to connect over wifi to get a program like bing to work. If you want to go through the trouble it would be greatly appreciated but either way I think I'll at least go check it out.
One note on downloading Google Maps: you can get around the "sorry, Google maps does not work on your device" by navigating to www.google.com/mobile/products/maps.html and selecting the "Windows Mobile: Download Binary" link at the bottom of the page. It does work with GPS - just be sure to switch "location on" (not 911 only).
It is both. It is a proprietary port that accepts mini USB. I have used my mini cables at home to charge it and they work fine. The only difference in it is that the bottom left corner is square instead of having the notch. So, when you put in a regular mini usb cable, it pops right in (but their cable would not fit in a regular mini usb)
Hope that makes sense..

How does the touchscreen do in cold weather?
I'm outside a lot and in the winter my hands are cold. My short experience with the Chocolate phone taught me that I could not answer the phone with gloves on or ice-cold fingers (the send and end buttons were "touch" sensitive).

I have not used it with gloves yet, but I don't think you would have any problems. It does have actual hardware buttons to answer and end calls. The screen also has nice sensitivity, so I think you could use it with gloves as well.
I don't have any gloves with me, but I just tested it with my fleece jacket, and didn't have any trouble using the touchscreen. Of course it may depend on your gloves.
