Have used purplera1n and it's been fine. The only things I was looking for were Categories and SBSettings, both of which work well. (Categories is noticeably faster loading folders than on the 1G)

Yeah purplera1n worked perfectly fine for me too. Some people I know had trouble.

I'm going to wait for the dev team release. I know I would probably be fine with purplera1n, but I don't want to take any chances. I've used all of the dev team's releases in the past and they've always worked.

purplera1n worked for me on my iMac. Both it and the dev team's release are missing core patches, so Winterboard works with neither. It doesn't _matter_ as Cydia is installed correctly, so patches will be released down stream.

It does irk one to have to wait for Winterboard, though.

From what I've gathered, they're working on an update to Winterboard that should work fine with the 3GS. The problem is not with the jailbreak (at least after RC2).

I Jailbroke with the Dev Teams release yesterday, Winterboard works fine, although I couldn't download it directly through Cydia, it kept failing. In the end I got it with something else in a download but can't remember what...

Used purplera1n, Winterboard (or any other major cydia app) works fine.
