Owning an emachine ET1331-G-03w

I never thought I would buy an emachine, But I have been enjoying this one for two weeks now and all I can say coming with windows 7, it truely has been and is a pleasurable exprience. And saveing a hundred bucks and getting 2gb more memmory as well as an added 250 gb more hard drive storage over the Dell I was going to buy. On the dislikes are The speakers are throw aways but most of us already have speakers ( though with 7.1 , you could be seeking 7 new speakers anyway.) and the keyboard isn't exactly choice ( but as with the speakers most of us already have a better one just laying a round, and remember I still had a hundred buck to buy some nice ones). Personally my first buy will be a express PCI graphics card to boost the gaming experience. But still as it is, I'm a happy camper.

I purchased this computer in Nov 2009. For the money ($398) it was the best deal I could find on a Windows 7 machine. The only area that Emachines (Acer) seems to have skimped on is the use of a rather weak on-board video solution. I've run some older games (e.g. Half Life 2, Prey, DOOM 3) and those fly on the stock video. However, for more modern games, you'll need to upgrade the video--it remains unclear how powerful a GPU this computer can support with its 300W power supply.
