Outside the US its hardly as valuable.

No netflix, ultra small collection of movies in Itunes which cost a fortune to rent (~5 usd) and almost only dubbed titles. Plus it doesnt go for 99usd but rather 160usd in france. So its ok but not great.

Eh, yeah, that sounds pretty lame.

What are your other options? Would something like a Roku be worth it? Or are you potentially going to use AirPlay on other iOS devices?

Well now that I bought it I'm just hoping the itunes store is going to get more interesting or that Netflix works out something for France. I like it to play my music and it's cute for watching youtube one the bigger screen. But it was a bit of a downer to see how few movies actually existed.
I don't know of many other boxes that exist for France which have a great movie collection. Somehow we haven't gotten there yet with VOD. But am hoping it will catch on soon.

Here are two good reasons to hold on to it...

1) AppStore for AppleTV coming soon
2) AppStore for AppleTV coming soon

Okay, thats just one reason... but its a good one.

With impending updates, wireless iPad mirroring is going to be incredible. I'm a teacher and have plans to use this in my classroom.
