Very much more functional and slicker than the Nokia brower, even the touch sensitivity appears to be improved. Pages load and render quickly, scrolling is easier with less mis-clicks. Have had some problems with out of memory errors on long pages, but then it is in beta at the moment.
Discussion about
Opera Mobile 10 - you NEED this browser!
Nokia's incredibly stingy with their RAM and Opera seems to leak it left/right and center!
Hopefully both parties remedy this going on.
Agree though its a pretty good browser and not a lot of reasons not to use it in place of the standard s60 browser---apart from the ram issues of course!

With iPhone, and now Android devices on the market, Nokia is sure going to have to pull up its socks. I think future devices would have more RAM at the very least. Of course, you can just give in to temptation and get the iPhone, or HTC's Android devices (with that awesome SenseUI interface)
a) You can get this for less than $300 UNLOCKED.
b) Ram is only a problem if you open a ton of app's in the background or open multiple tabs of websites that are flash heavy (it does flash light 3.1 out of the box)
c) Nokia (as far as I know) were the first to include the webkit browsers in their phones. The advantage of opera is that it caches webpages on its servers and thus is faster + programs flashier + it has tabs similar to the desktop browsers.
------
The latest nokia's released (E52/55/72 & N 86) all have the latest webkit versions (7.1 they call it) and the browser is better is comparable if not better than the iphone in terms of rendering speeds

Although I wholeheartedly agree that Nokia need to sort out issues, some of which are inexcusable (ram etc).

I find Opera Mobile to be very slow at times as it seems to hang quite a lot.
Whether this is down to the memory issue or not i dont know.
Browsing can be useless without using the stylus on a lot of websites as it seems pin point accuracy is needed most of the time, maybe it would improve if i could increase font size rather than just using zoom.
Everytime i use Opera mobile for a few minutes i start getting frustrated and go back to using Opera Mini 5 which is fantastic.
