OK...so I'm trying to decide if I should get this for my 12 yr to play with us and his friends and family. He's got a fairly new XBox 360 (I suppose..
.got it last year for Christmas) and now that I'm reading up on this Kinect, it looks like the cord is only 9 feet long? Are you kidding me? And then you'd have to spend another $50.00 to get the "Official" USB extension cable just to get another 10 feet? Ridiculous!! Our home theater room has a projector/screen with all of the components (DVR, Receiver, Wii, XBox, PS3) in the rear of the room 25 feet away! Why in the world didn't these brainchildren ever consider that not everyone has these types of electronics in the typical older style (NOT meant to offend those that do) configuration with a TV and everything hooked to it beside or near each other!? Even Wii, for goodness sakes, came out with a wireless sensor!! Or if you MUST have it wired, make it long enough to be hidden through the wall (or ceiling) to reach the XBox on the other side of a room with decent size and not a cracker box length. Come on Microsoft, really...get with the program!! This is where you'll lose your higher-end customers with this add-on.
